FAQ

There is no login facility on the website or any sort of member’s area.

You will receive an email with your GB membership number directly from British Powerlifting or from our Records Registrar – keep an eye on your junk/spam folder.

You must be an NIPF member, firstly. Once the competition has been opened on the website, you can enter via the event page.

Email us at nipfinfo@gmail.com to let us know asap – we almost always have a long waiting list for competitions and no-shows mean someone misses their chance to lift. Please also note that entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Equipped Powerlifting is exactly the same as raw or “classic” powerlifting, except you can use supportive “equipment”, such as knee wraps, squat or deadlift suits, or bench shirts. these are made of non-stretch material that store energy via compression, enabling you to lift more weight. In the NIPF, our spring and christmas classics are named as such because they are raw-only competitions – but the NI open is open to anyone wanting to use IPF approved single ply equipment (so is the NI Bench only competiton). Again, consult the IPF rulebook on what equipment is allowed.

Please volunteer via the Facebook group! We are eternally grateful to the spotters, loaders, admin staff and MC’s that make our competitions possible!

There are none, just c’mon down and compete!

Follow the link on the homepage – they’re up and running! If you feel that you’ve broken a record, please email recordsmanager@nipowerlifting.co.uk telling us at which competition you broke the record, ideally with video proof or a link to your Openpowerlifter page.

All results will eventually be on https://www.openpowerlifting.org/ within a few days of them being on our site. If you really can’t wait, here’s a quick guide: Download the csv. file of the results you want to view. Open your spreadsheet applicaton of choice (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets etc.) and start a blank spreadsheet. Then click File, then Import, then select Upload. You can then browse your downloads folder for the csv file or drag and drop it straight in. Then click Import Data, and you’re all set.
