The NIPF is enhancing how coaching access to a competition happens for 2024 season.
We are moving away from a per competition transaction fee and introducing a yearly Coaching Membership.
What does it mean?
British Powerlifting bye laws require that all lifters and coaches entering the warmup area have a valid and current membership to BP, which reflects the global model from International and European Powerlifting Federations.
Why Do We Need This?
Membership ensures:
- We all have the same playing field across the competition arena
- We are all accountable to the same antidoping, safeguarding and bye laws that push our sport forward
- You are eligible to coach at National and International levels. It is a dream for many coaches to show their skill at then highest level and the membership ensures you will have no nasty or unfortunate surprises
- Opens doors to represent NI in a different but equally valuable way
- Provides a known, 1 off payment for Coaches to access all NI comps for coaching
- Investment into the future of the sport in NI. As basic as it seems, this sport costs a lot to run and we can use all the help we can get.
Do I need to have Normal and Coaches Membership?
No, you only need 1 type of membership depending on what you want to do!
- A full membership grants access to warmup areas and allows you to coach as well as enter competitions
- A coaching membership is the new option for those that want to be a game day coach and help their lifters, but don’t want to be an active lifter.
